SO SWEET! Absolutely GORGEOUS Figural Owl by BONNIE STAFFEL - renown upper Michigan artist/potter.
Approximate Dimensions: 5” height - 4” width - 3 1/2” depth
Signed on bottom, as shown.
Flaw: this sweet Owl has a chipped beak. Unfortunately. Clean repair but with a visible chip out of the beak. SEE PHOTOS! Otherwise I see no other exceptions to original creation. The glaze on this piece is EXCEPTIONAL - the texture and coloring are OUTSTANDING. There is, on the upper back, an opening - wide slot - as designed. Cannot be a bank as there is no way of accessing the interior. Eyes are holes - along with the back slot. Otherwise not accessible. Really a remarkable piece!
