Handcrafted pottery from the studio of John Hutson near Taos, New Mexico
Eight layers of underglaze are hand carved to reveal signature texture and layers of color
Use for serving sushi, crackers, crudites bread,; also as a vanity tray for jewelry, keys, etc.
"John Hutson pottery is made from stoneware clay. Every piece is wheel thrown or made using slab building techniques. Once the form is made, each piece is then meticulously coated with eight layers of underglaze which is made in the studio from raw pigments. After that, every piece is then hand carved to reveal the various colors of the layers. Once dried, the pottery is fired twice. Prior to the second firing, the pottery is coated with a clear glaze. This gives each piece a beautiful sheen. Each piece is completely unique and one of a kind. John Hutson pottery is 100% food, dishwasher, and microwave safe." From John's Website.
