Mug - Salt pot with matte white glaze, stoneware small dip pot.

Description

This salt pot has this unexplainable charm. It's just one of those pots that you use so much more than you think. (I put Maldon sea-sea salt flakes in mine.)
Please note: Since this is a handmade item, the pot may differ slightly from what's pictured. Isn't this the joy of buying handmade pots?
It has been hand thrown on the wheel with great care. A pot normally takes 2 weeks to produce since there is not a singe stage in the process that can be rushed. The clay is wedged, thrown, dried to leather hard and then turned. After turning the pot is sponged, this smoothes edges and ensures it is looking pretty. Once sponged the pot is then left to dry fully and then bisque fired. After the bisque firing the pot can then be glazed. Once the glaze has dried onto the pot, it is loaded into the kiln for a final high firing. Once fired the kiln can be excitedly opened to reveal the finished pot.
This item is stoneware, this means that it is perfectly dishwasher safe and strong.
